The Gateway Arch National Park

The Gateway Arch….

I’m not sure how many times we’ve driven across the Interstate Hwy bridge just south of the Gateway Arch….looked at the Arch in amazement as we were driving and questioned whether we should stop or not. Let me tell ya it’s been a few times! And no….we have never stopped….it was…Places Ya Just Pointed At and kept driving. I will say when we took this picture it was our understanding the the boat(s) moored in the river below the Arch was a Casino, which almost persuaded us to stop.

The Gateway Arch was built as a monument to the Westward Expansion of the United States…The Gateway to the West.

The Arch is 630 ft tall and is the world’s tallest Arch which is accessible to public. It is also considered the tallest monument in the Western Hemisphere.

It is one of the monument sites that is on our “checklist’ to stop and enjoy….Casino or no Casino.

Enjoy the Journey
